Locals Only Playlist: July 23 with Plastic Picnic and Jake Uitti

July 25, 2017

The studio was full of great guests on Locals Only this week. The band Plastic Picnic was in town for the weekend to perform at Capitol Hill Block Party and while these guys all met and formed the band in Brooklyn, all four of them are from Western Washington.

The band recently signed to the singles label, Highland Park. We played their song "Miss It Still" and the band let me debut an unreleased version of their track "Nausea In Paradise."

Plastic Picnic headed back to Block Party at about 8:30 and local music journalist Jake Uitti stopped by for the remainder of the show.

Jake brought six songs that he can't stop listening to and dropped some serious knowledge on me and the listeners about some amazing local stuff that I haven't been playing on the show. Jake brought tracks from Vince Mira, The Black Tones, Taylar Elizza Beth, Tomo Nakatama and more. We also played some brand new tracks from The Kingdom Boogie Band (formerly Bigfoot Wallace and His Wicked Sons) and Noah Gundersen
