Watch Dave Grohl's 8-Year-Old Daughter Join the Foo Fighters on Drums During Iceland Show

The band also debuted new song “Lah Di Da”

June 19, 2017

Dave Grohl proved he’s probably one of the coolest dads goin’ when he called his eight-year-old daughter, Harper, onstage to play with the Foo Fighters during this weekend’s Secret Solstice Festival in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Just two weeks prior, Harper told her dad she wanted to play drums, and the first song he taught her was Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” Naturally, Grohl asked his daughter if she wanted to play it in front of a small crowd of about 20,000 people in Iceland. Because that’s what you do for someone whose drum skills are just two weeks in the making. Especially if that someone is your badass daughter.

Watch Harper take Taylor Hawkins’ place on drums to perform the Queen jam with backup from the audience.

Another cool moment from Foo’s set? They premiered another new song, “Lah Di Da,” and you can catch it below!
