Local and so soothing!

I don't know if it's my mother's love of puzzling, my ability to solve the Rubik's cube in under 30 seconds, or just the need to avoid conversations with people on the light rail, but we're always looking for a new cool game to get sucked into.

Candy Crush, Two Dots, 2048 - all games that at times masterfully provide a temporary escape inside the depths of your brain - well, the left side at least. The trailer alone for Tiny Bubbles makes me feel better, calmer, less annoyed by all the prickly things poking at me during my busy day downtown.

This game reminds me of the best parts of Spore - an evolution game that starts in the steamy waters of early life - meets a puzzle game. So soothing like a hot spring with little minnows nibbling at your dead toe skin. Gross. Not like that at all.

Tiny Bubbles is made right here in Washington via Pine Street Code Works - an independent gaming company with just one full-time employee and a bunch of help from friends! Based on the accolades (below), this thing is going places. I got the duo responsible for this game on Skype to tell me about the demands of making your own game!
