New Music Friday: Sofi Tukker, Florence + The Machine, DREAMS

What you should be listening to this weekend, according to Manley & Alyssa

April 13, 2018

At least once a week Manley and I have a mini music meeting in our office. We blast the new, new and we're either jamming out or yelling "Next!" Hey, being a music nerd can be brutal, but someone has to do it. We rounded up some jams that we think you should be listening to right now, check them out!:

Manley says

DREAMS - Remember Daniel Johns from Silverchair?  Well he teamed up with Luke from Empire of the Sun and I am here for it.  They only released a few songs so far, but they are playing Coachella this weekend so I’m excited to see what the hype is after they’re done.

Flora Cash - Listen to You're Somebody Else.. this isn’t exactly new new, but its new to me so whateva!  Really like the vibe on this song. Super chill.

King Princess - Yo, this girl is going to be an absolute star!

*We've been spinning her song '1950' all week which you can download for free, here

Alyssa says:

I've been waiting to hear more music from Sofi Tukker ever since we started playing their song, Best Friend. They have this whole jungle, dancey vibe to their sound (and look!) and I'm stoked they just dropped their debut album, Treehouse today! Definitely check out the entire album, but I'm really feeling this song, Benadryl. That opening line though..
I lost my sanity with my socks.. one at a time I barely noticed.. <3

Florence + The Machine - I freaked out real hard in the studio yesterday when I saw that they released a new song. Florence Welch is Queen and I will love any music she puts out into the world. This brand new song is called Sky Full Of Song and is (I'm assuming) a first taste of the group's forthcoming album that will hopefully drop later this year. You'll be able to pick up a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl version of this one on Record Store Day, April 21st!

Enjoy the tunes and reach out on Twitter to talk New Music Discovery anytime!
