5 songs to get you in the mood for Bourbon & Bacon Fest 2018

January 30, 2018

The day is coming when bourbon swills and bacon snacks will embark on their final journey to the afterlife via your mouth at Bourbon and Bacon Fest 2018 on March 10 at Seattle Design Center. Seeing as the best thing to complete the glorious trinity alongside bourbon and bacon is music, we picked out 5 songs that really get us in the mood for dancing and drinking before heading over to try everything from local distillers and chefs.

A Guide to Seattle Distilleries

5. Start Wearing Purple - Gogol Bordello

So what if this song isn't about drinking bourbon or eating bacon and is instead about a bonkers neighbor the singer had in New York City? This is one of the best songs to dance to AND drink to, preferably both at the same time.

4. Drunk Girls - LCD Soundsystem

"DRUNK GIRLS like to eat bunches of bacon! DRUNK BOYS also like to eat bacon!" No, those aren't the lyrics...but they should be.

3. Brass Monkey - Beastie Boys

Again, maybe this song isn't about bourbon, but bourbon and malt liquor-lovers alike can get behind the Beastie Boys. Brass Monkey was, is, and always will be one of the best party jams.

2. Streams of Whiskey - The Pogues

When your lyrics are "I am going where streams of Whiskey are flowing," chances are you're talking about Bourbon & Bacon Fest

1. S.O.B. - Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats

Will Nathaniel Rateliff or The Night Sweats be at Bourbon and Bacon Fest this Saturday? Probably not. Does Bourbon and Bacon Fest seem like the type of event designed specifically for this band and is bourbon this band's spirit animal? Almost definitely, probably.

Make sure to get your tickets for Bourbon and Bacon Fest while they're still available!
