Xmas fear tactics: Elf on the Shelf vs Krampus.

Nov 30th | categories: Awesome

It seems like this 'Elf on the Shelf' thing came out of nowhere?!
Santa isn’t enough to intimidate kids in America…so now we gotta put a creepy elf on a shelf and tell kids that he's a spy for Santa...
You know what works even better?? KRAMPUS!!
Krampus is a tradition in Alpine countries where guys dress up as demons and parade down the street dragging chains looking for naughty kids...legend has it, "When the Krampus finds a particularly naughty child, it stuffs the child in its sack and carries the frightened child away to its lair, presumably to devour for its Christmas dinner".

So you tell me which one would get you to behave.

KRAMPUS FOR THE WIN...
and a big thanks to John for finding The Krampus Sweater at Archie McPhees

Krampus for sure! I have four pretty well-behaved kids, but I know that the threat of this Krampus character coming after them vs. a freaky elf on the shelf would keep them in line for sure! LOL! Oh and btw, does voting for Krampus in anyway help me win tickets to the Deck the Hall Ball??? Please??? I would go out on a date with Krampus just to see The Lumineers and Monsters of Men LIVE!!!! I ain't kidding! Thanks!!!! Happy Mom of 4, Susan

The Elf on the Shelf is pretty creepy, but the Krampus is Legend.
