Went to Vancouver to Rubik's Cube
The Vancouver Winter Open 2014: it's a collection of puzzle twisting weirdos and kids of all ages clacking away at their magic puzzle cubes inside the dome built by the Russians for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC, now repurposed as a science center. Much like our own Pacific Science Center, it welcomes curious minds, kids (tons of them) and a love for nerdy things.
Take this example, not even close to the best times of the day, as a small slice of what happens all day long:
That was my 2nd fastest solve ever in competition, but it pales in comparison to the 11.28 seconds set by Jacob Hutnyk!
