WNW: Weird News Wednesday
The X-Files just turned 20 years old and because of the anniversary, fans have been talking about the franchise maybe doing a third movie. Everyone's on board except for the people that actually pay for it: Twentieth Century Fox. Probably because the second movie did so poorly. The only saving grace for a third X-Files movie? Simon Pegg. Who is a HUGE fan of the show and also a huge star right now. Chris Carter just needs to write the perfect part for him and he's ready to do it, as soon as he gets the green light on XF3. Ugh, MAKE THIS HAPPEN PLEASE! (source)
A recent online poll shows that at least 48% of American adults believe that aliens exist and have visited earth. 35% don't believe or are skeptical, and the remaining 16-ish% just aren't sure. That's a surprisingly high number of believers, especially when almost all UFO sightings are proved to be just a lantern or an airplane. Way to keep an open mind, America! (source)
The Seattle PI has started a really cool visual series of Washington's ghost towns. Not only are they finding the ghost towns in our area, they're exploring them, and the photos are so eerie. Check out their first stop in Lester, WA over here. The towns aren't necessarily haunted, but they sure look like it. Someone should call Ghost Hunters to investigate!
