Video: Phoenix Endsession at Von Trapp's

Apr 03rd | categories: Music, Video

When a group of musicians, normally packed into a small van or tour bus, finds some free space away from their rapidly moving sleeping coffin, they fill it. Like a glass of water spilled on your computer desk, a band rapidly expands away from one another for a moment of perceived freedom. Not Phoenix. The Frenchmen haven't been on the road in a two years, perhaps explaining their willingness to forgo normal seating and pack together on the mantle of the Von Trapp's fireplace. It's cute. They looks like a pack of home schooled kids braving the strange, scary world of public school for the first time bundled together like kittens in a litter.

This very proximity created one of the most intimate, warming, and rewarding Endsessions to date.
