We were all shocked when Tom Gabel of punk band Against Me! announced that he was undergoing gender reassignment and was going to start living life as Laura Jane Grace.

After a flurry of news stories/blogs etc and a handful of shows - Grace sat down with MTV for her first on-camera interview - here's how it went

What an inspiring human being. It has to take so much to find the courage to come out like that in front of so many people. It's so great that she's done that and can finally start living her life how she's wanted and can be who she wants to be.
