It's a nice message and all, but the reality is that I can't just go travel the world or pursue the hobbies I really want to without having some way of earning money. Watching this video won't suddenly change that - I still need a way to feed and house myself, let alone do whatever I want to do.

Find a way to make your living,by traveling the world. Find a job that allows you to do this. Pursue what you see as being important, what you want to do. Don't worry about the money.

but you HAVE to worry about the money. It doesn't just grow on trees and it's not society's responsibility to support unproductive people just because they want to spend all their time mountain climbing or something. The reality is that you can only get a job that pays you to do what you want to do if there is some demand for that job. There are really two ways to get to do what you want- either be lucky enough that the market isn't saturated with individuals already doing that thing for profit, or acquire the funds to do it independently in some other way, usually by working. The video makes a strong point that money shouldn't matter at all, which is silly and wrong. It should have stuck with the weaker point that money shouldn't be the only consideration when planning your career.

You could be a mountain guide if you have an interest in mountain climbing. If you want to travel the world sure it is never that cheap to get from one continent to the other but there are many ways of being cheap other wise you do not need to stay in hotels there is a website where in exchange for helping out you can stay for free with people and they fed you. Also there is one where you can stay with people but they do not necessarily feed you something like couch hoping or something there are ways of doing things cheap you just have to be creative instead of think close mindedly Broc.
