So, You're In Seattle: Vance Joy + Riptide Acoustic

Oct 07th | categories: Interview, Live, Music, So You're In Seattle

It's not often that bands and the legal system are mentioned in the same sentence with a positive conclusion. While Australian singer Vance Joy worked towards a degree in law, he wrote a song on the side that landed him a huge record contract. Now Vance is holed up at Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville finishing his debut album. The album is done and out now! Once a pro-footballer, now a softly spoken man with a ukelele!

Scroll down for a special, solo performance of "Riptide" - it's obviously awesome!

I've been listening to "Riptide" for months because it was HUGE in Australia when I was there last fall. I was wondering why it had not taken off in the US. So excited that the first station I heard Vance on was The End last week. Thanks! -Kristy
