Sharon Van Etten @ Neptune Theater 07.05.14

Jul 06th | categories: Awesome, End Music Discovery, Live

Sharon Van Etten put on a beautiful show in front of a sold our crowd at the Neptune Theater in Seattle on Saturday night. I've been hearing a lot of buzz about her new album 'Are We There' hearing nothing but great things. Watching her live I could see what the hype is about. Sharon came out with a contagious smile and was instantly likeable. Her voice is incredible and I was completely hooked from moment one. The only bummer of the night was that the merch table was sold out of the new album as I really wanted to buy a copy. I'll have to get it HERE instead.

Just before Sharon Van Etten performed my mind was blown by Melbourne based Courtney Barnett who absolutely tore the stage apart with a solid performance that had me banging my head one second and swaying the next. They were so good I could hardly believe my ears. Raw, energetic, authentic rock. Who knew Australia produced such great musicians? We've been listening to Vance Joy a lot on The End these days, maybe it's time to move some more Australians into the lineup eh? Check this band out and tell the station you want to hear them via text at 91077!

Thanks for checking out the blog!
