Say Goodbye To Ween

Of the zillions of bands, after 25 years, you have to give it up to anyone who could paddle through the seas of crappy music to make an impact. Most snot nosed guitar playing kids get it out of their system by the time the rent starts becoming something worth worrying about.

Whenever news breaks that a band is calling quits after a great run, regardless of the attachment to the group, it's sad news that we're losing someone with the endurance to make it so far. Imagine decades without showering regularly!

Aaron "Gene Ween" Freeman told Rolling Stone that the end of his long running band, Ween, is upon us. Having recently released solo work, Freeman prepares to close old doors in the hopes of opening new ones.

For whatever reason, as someone living a life of Ween indifference, the thought of their band always brings me back to the song "Spinal Meningitis (Got Me Down)":



A side note: are Ween fans called Weeners?
