The Rain City Superheroes have lost a member.

Nov 14th | categories: Awkward, Local, News

No one's died, don't worry. Phoenix Jones, our resident superhero, has apparently been up to some not so super things lately. He's being accused of stealing the helmet of another superhero in his group. That superhero, El Caballero, has now LEFT the group entirely and many may soon follow in his footsteps. Isn't this the second act in every Batman movie? Hero falls from grace. Friends turn on him. That kind of thing? Guess we'll have to wait and see if their group gets a happy ending. Read more of the story here.

What will Seattle do?!? Will villains use this power shift as an opportunity to take over? Will we have to "fear the flattop?!?" I hope not.... On another note, it should be noted though, that his purple helmet wasn't the best fashion choice. I mean, c'mon, think about it.

Will The Rain City Superhero Movement fall apart? Will Phoenix Jones regain the trust of his team, and the people he once protected? Will Rex Velvet rise to power over Seattle and all of its inhabitants? Find out next time on "Phoenix Jones: Friendor Foe?"!

Rex Velvet, what a joke. Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates are better supervillians than that hipster with a YouTube channel and a library card will ever be. They at least have empires, buildings, and minions. If all these superheroes do is some citizen patrolling, then just be citizen patrollers. Otherwise, let's get a real supervillian doing some actual evil that cannot be combatted by the police. Then we'll need these so-called Super Heroes.

May these clown-face egotists fail and fail spectacularly. These Rain City SUperboobs really are nothing more than immature little twits pulling the Miley Cyrus, "Look at me, I'm all grown up and being a big person now" schtick. And to this "Paul" person, let the police do the work. They have enough to deal with without these costumed underpants stains mucking things up. Civilians getting involved as Sparrow Jones, El Kabong, Captain Zippy and his Magic Fly appear to be doing should leave the crimefighting to the real crimefighters, and stick to charity work like helping the homeless, volunteering in soup kitchens, and help by speaking out against bullying and that rot. Of course, that would make complete sense and keep people safe, and we just can't have that now, can we?

That is what happens when you let ego and group politics get in the way of your missions

This doesn't change anything in my opinion. I know that despite internal politics, they're all still trying to help the community at large. Maybe because of this they won't work together or will choose other ways of doing it; but I can only hope their good intentions aren't stifled by this. These people are doing what every police station asks of every community: If you see something; report it, don't stay quiet and let it continue. They don't have to do anything, but they go out of their way to help people in their community. I respect them for that.
