Muse to Run Their Hometown?

Jul 20th | categories: Music, Music News

Muse have been offered the chance to take over the running of their hometown of Teignmouth for a day.

The trio, who are all from Teignmouth, have been offered the chance by the local council to take over the reins for a day after they ran with the Olympic torch in the town earlier this year.

Speaking in a video, which you can see at the bottom of the page, Jeremy Christophers, who is leader of Teignbridge District Council, says that he has extended an open invitation to Matt Bellamy and co to come back and take over the town.

"We had Muse here today. They're the biggest rock band on the planet. I've invited Matt Bellamy and the band to come in and run the council for the day."

What exactly would Muse do with their new power - no comment from Matt Bellamy and company though we have the inclination that horses, lasers and screening of "Almost Famous" would be involved.

The new Muse record "The Second Law" comes out on September 18th
