Things have been relitively mum from the Arcade Fire camp in regards to a follow up to the groups Grammy winning album, The Suburbs. What we do know comes in the form of dribs and drabs from people outside the band themselves. LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy revealed he's been in the studio working with the band at his own DFA studios in NY, while our only taste of what the material might sound like comes from a secret show the band played as Les Identikits last december where attendees described the sound of the new songs as "fun, dancy, and groovy".
Now we finally have a date set where we'll be hearing the closely gaurded sounds as our friends at Diddy's new channel, Revolt have confirmed the group will unveil new music on September 9th. No word yet on what this means for an album release window, though drummer Jeremy Gara revealed last year they hoped to release the record before the end of 2013.
Check out video below of the band playing a new track, "Crucified Again" last year.
