LISTEN: Steve Albini Dishes About Recording Nirvana, Fugazi, More

Aug 19th | categories: Music News

My essential understanding of the relationship between Nirvana's In Utero and it's recording engineer, Steve Albini, lies in lies. When dealing with the idea of recording the biggest band in the world, he expected the experience of working with a major label to go poorly."I was expecting something weird to happen".

Albini spends some significant time dishing on the In Utero process and it's troubles. In the process he mentions working on a never released Fugazi record, too. This is quite the gem. Listen to the whole thing here.

I absolutely love the work Steve Albini does. I'm very happy that he does buy into the corporate garbage most sound engineers do. I'm a big fan of most of his work and I will continue to listen to the new albums he mixes.

That's awesome. I found a hilarious and awkward interview of Steve Albini. Check it out:
