Jon Brion Scoring Paranorman

In terms of films I'm looking forward to seeing at the moment, outside of The Master (no one can touch the brilliance of Paul Thomas Anderson) Paranorman tops the list. An animated film from the makers of Nightmare before Christmas and the absolutely stunning Coraline, the film follows a young boy with the peculiar gift of being able to both see and communicate with the dead (which ultimately leads to his leading the battle against the baddies but thats for later). As if this couldnt get any better, announced today the film is to be scored by Jon Brion who's work can be heard on albums by Kanye West, Fiona Apple, and more, as well as scored films Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Punch-Drunk Love, Magnolia. Just more good news for fans of good films and good soundtracks alike. Check out the trailer below.
