Gabby Douglas is the first African American to win the gold in the women's all around gymnastics title..so f*cking rad. Bob Costas announced it and NBC went to commercial...the commercial featured a monkey doing gymnasticsand Twitter blew up with racist accusations...

See this is one of those moments when you have to wonder who is truly racist. Some of us wouldn't have even made that connection because people are people.

Now if they did a douche commercial after a Ryan Lochte win, I might think twice.

If anyone thinks this is racist... their head is going in the wrong direction. its a networks attempt to make a cute commercial... when i first saw it all i thought was "what a cute little monkey"

If a 13yo Chinese girl can be in the Olympics, who's to say a monkey shouldn't be next? Some of my best friends are monkeys, and though I never give a second thought to their skin color, I do sometimes think, "Wow, they've got really sharp teeth, I better not comment on his creepy little fingers."
