If Mars Were A Table and the Rover Made of Legos

When talking about the Blue Angels last week, someone made a great comment about how things like F-18's made from incredible brain power can inspire children to focus on math and science. I'm all for that. SCIENCE!!!

Now, in the same weekend, NASA managed to successfully land a rover on the moon leaving the internet applauding not for an athletics competition in England, but for the nerds that managed an outstanding feat of science. At 2000lbs, the rover is the size of my Honda. This type of achievement inspires young people to do amazing things with science. And when older, wiser folks get involved you end up with cool LEGO projects like this:
