Ian Mackaye of Fugazi For A Night of Q&A

Ian Mackaye has been blazing his own trail for 25+ years. He's one of the main voices in the world for all ages music, independent expression, and not too shabby when it comes to music performance. Mackaye started his own label to document the modern musical history of his home in Washington DC. He's played in a variety of bands from Minor Threat to Fugazi. And now the dude's coming to Seattle's Vera Project (an all ages venue) to give a Q&A.



Tickets are $8 and he plays Vera September 7th.

I only had the chance to see Fugazi a little bit, but Ian always came out saying "turn up the stage lights". There wasn't hiding behind stage props and lights and shit, this guy (and band mates) just always brought it. This is an incredible performance from Olympia of "Shut The Door":
