HE SPENT HOW MUCH ON THAT RING?

May 14th | categories: Funny, Local, News

A Seattle man has sued his ex fiancee to get back the $19,000 engagement ring he gave her. NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLAR RING. I'm drooling. Believe it or not, this is a real thing. Depending on the state law, she might have to return it or she might be totally entitled to keeping it. Why would you spend so much money on a ring and then break off the wedding and expect to get that ring back? Yeah right. PAWN IT GIRL! PAWN IT SO HARD! (source)

Nineteen thousand bucks is a hell of a lot of money for a ring. Let Judge Judy, or Judge Brown decide. Just teasing. I wouldn't spend that much money for a ring for someone I love. That much money is better in the bank earning interest. If this guy's former girlfriend wants to really be decent I say return the ring. I would if it was me. We don't know all the details of the story. Taking the ring to a pawn shop is not the answer. She is nothing better than a little princess or daddies little girl if she heads to the pawn shop. Who broke off the engagement and why? Details are important. Thanks. Anthony

No way.... A guy gives a girl the ring, the ring is hers.

The ring represents a Contract of Engagement. With it, he is promising her a life partner. If he doesn't fulfill his contractual obligation of marrying her, he must then pay out his contract. The Engagement Ring fulfills this obligation. You think someone who accepts a 19 thousand dollar engagement ring would be happy with anything substandard? He should stop to think how much he would have ended up spending on her throughout the course of their lives together... anniversaries... birthdays... houses... clothes... cars... dinners out. The engagement ring sets the bar and he set it ungodly high! She should keep it and he should consider himself lucky he got off so easy.
