A Chat With Jack White

Aug 27th | categories: Awesome, Interview, Music News

Jack White books two shows in Seattle and both sell with ZERO problem. The dude brings his newest work Lazaretto, in conjunction with a 15+ year career, to a town dying to see a pro play a venue as beautiful as the Paramount Theatre. I experienced some next level heart pounding, but somehow managed to keep myself under control.

I love talking to humans and engaging to create a little dialogue. It's tough to establish a baseline with a man as busy as Jack because there isn't really time to bond. It's strictly professional. Ask the questions get the answers. Print. He's a charming, gracious guest and I'm proud of what we talked about:

That drummer, though...

I flew into San Francisco from Idaho on August 23 to see the show. Just so you know this was a third time is a charm moment for I was going to see your show the year you broke a finger, and then you were actually set to come to Idaho, I had tickets and then the tour got cancelled. Thank you so much for not cancelling after your injury! It was the first time I've ever been able to see your show and I can honestly say that you are a true inspiration. Your energy and talent is intoxicating and I am still living on that high. So thank you for sharing your talent with the world! You have helped me relight a spark that I thought was water logged. So thank you! I really do hope that I will be able to attend another show some day. Maybe Idaho?

Great interview! I think your questions were very thoughtful and interesting & unpretentious. Came to your lovely town from the scorched Midwest and the sun shone every day, so guess all the rumours of rain are just to keep people from moving to sucha wonderful place with nice people. Thanks for the hospitality Seattle - just the perfect topping for some excellent Jack White shows!!

Great interview! I sold my Seahawks preseason tickets to buy tickets for the concert instead, because I absolutely had to see Jack perform for the first time. Even though I ended up getting a little nauseous the day of (Maybe from excitement?!), I couldn't be happier. The concert was amazing! Thank you Jack White!
