Future Rockstar - Izzy Mae Sanchez

Community is about friends, family and neighbors banding together when things suck to help out where they can. Though I only technically lived there for a short time - Bremerton, WA is a community that I'm still very closely tied to. I visit often (most recently the 4th of July) and most of my best friends in this world live/are from there.

I've known Joe Sanchez for well over a decade (in fact, he may have dated my little sister..but I can't 100% remember). You would be hard pressed to find a nicer, cooler, funnier and more genuine guy. In December, he and his wife Carrie had a beautiful baby girl named Izzy Mae. Unfortunately, in February, Izzy Mae was diagnosed with a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia.

For the last 6 months, Izzy has been in and out of the hospital and recently her condition has gotten worse.

As you can imagine - with all the emotional stress involved with this, it's also quite a financial burden for the young parents. That's why as a community, we are banding together and trying to raise money to help ease that burden a bit.

If you're reading this - it's likely you don't know Joe, Carrie or Izzy. However, you can almost certainly relate to the fact that sometimes things suck - and when that happens, it's nice to have some help. YOU can help provide that help right now.

This is Izzy's mom! Thank you do much for posting this! What great friends Joe has!! We just want people to learn about this disease and know how life threatening it is! We soo appreciate all the support and love we have gotten from all our friends!' Thanks again. :) Carrie sanchez
