Mike Birbiglia may be the nicest, most gentle comedian looming at large in the comedy world. He's done a good job making a career out of story telling. He's also a somnambulist (sleepwalker). Mike's been on the several popular podcasts including The Moth, WTF, and This American Life. He and friend Ira Glass made a movie of one of Birbiglia's stories and it's playing independently in Seattle. Sleep Walk With Me:



The film plays in Seattle nightly at the Harvard Exit and Grand Cinema Tacoma.

Saw it over the weekend. Really good, honest, and fairly funny look at this awkward guy's story of breaking into standup comedy. Best movie of the year? It's a little early to call that one after all the junk that was out this summer. Really liked "Safety Not Guaranteed," but I'm still hoping for better this winter.
