Full Album Stream: Hot Chip - "In Our Heads"

Well apparently music posts go here now. So lets chat about something I've been sitting on dying to share for about a month, the brand new Hot Chip record which you can stream in it's entirety thanks to NPR right here, right now. From head to toe, the record is a fantastic mix of fun and focus, sometimes trading the bounce for nod's to later Depeche Mode era blues influenced, guitar driven tracks, and tackling lyrically, either a serious relationship or the dissolution of one... it's tough to tell, but either way it's a blast of a record, with the surprising fact that it's the albums most subdued tracks, "Look At Where We Are", "These Chains", and "Let Me Be Him", that really dominate your return listens. Don't let me judge it for you though, have a listen for yourself and make sure you catch them at The Paramount in September. (but definitely take the time to appreciate whatever that noise is in "These Chains", it just tickles me every time they do it)
