Explosions In The Sky To Score A Film Starring Paul Rudd

Jun 14th | categories: movies, Music

What band have you heard your friends talk about but didn't take the time/effort to learn more about? Seems like whenever this happens, said band shows up for the best performance in the world at an amazing venue like the Showbox at the Market. DAMMIT!

With Explosions in the Sky, I'm not letting that happen again. This is an instrumental band that potheads probably love! Slow sweeping parts build into a chaotic sonic dust storm for your ears. This group have been touring for the last six months. They are headed back to the studio immediately upon ariving home to score a film.

CoS reports that Prince Avalanche, David Gordon Greene's latest film, will star Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch. Green used EITS's music in previous films All The Real Girls and Snow Angels.

If you're unfamiliar with EITS, they remind me of the soundscapes that Mogwai created earlier in their career. Check out the all slow motion, gorgeous video for "Postcard From 1952":
