End Music Discovery: Ultraísta - "Smalltalk"

May 09th | categories: Music

We went over this a little when those new Atoms for Peace tracks were debuted a few weeks back, but why is it that everything seemingly affiliated with Radiohead is more interesting than what they're up to at this point? Today's example comes in the form of a new band started by long time producer, Nigel Godrich and AFP drummer, Joey Waroncker (who's also worked with the likes of Beck, Smashing Pumpkins and Elliott Smith), they've gone on to recruit the London based Laura Bettison to formUltraísta, which, unsurprisingly, does indeed sound a bit like Radiohead (seriously, does no one realize there are other drum patterns in the world?!?) THAT SAID, it's pretty chill and enjoyable, maybe just picture Thom singing it, and pretend it's a b-side, or a cover or something. Regardless, it's a nice cut to throw on in the evening hours while you unwind in your living room/bed/heroin den. Interested to see what else they turn up with. Check the video for "Smalltalk" below...
