End Music Discovery: Soulsavers - "Longest Day" ft. Dave Gahan (of Depeche Mode)

It doesn't get said often enough, but Depeche Mode are just F-ing awesome. In fact, they're basically the reason this blog is being written right now. Because it's been way too long since we've heard new tunes or seen them on a tour. Which makes us desperate to hear frontman Dave Gahan in whatever context we can get him. On initial listen I was a bit skeptical of the track, however upon further examination, you just have to think of it as Gahan singing on an outtake from Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and then it goes from slightly off-putting to totally-awesome-epic. Basically, It's a little rough around the edges, but given the chance it's great, not to mention WE GET SOME NEW MUSIC FROM DAVE GAHAN. nuff said. stream below...
