If you know anything about Crystal Castles, then you likely know that what you are about to hear is just more of the same. But hell, if you find a formula that works, why fix what aint broken? While initially slightly let down by our leading taste of their new record (creatively titled "III", mind you the second one was named "II") this one for some reason, I can't stop listening on repeat. It's pleasantly simple, predictable, and loveable all at once. Alice Glass lashes out vocally over suppressing synths that alternate from soothing waves to drowning, sinking,bass. It's a bit like what I envision being thrown into the sea to feel like.... to your ears. Have a listen. You'll get it. Theyll be at the Showbox Sodo on Oct 25th. The new record is out November 6th.
