This is somewhat frustrating. Not because the song isn't great, infact it's one of the more impressive efforts we've heard from Ben in some time in my worthless humble opinion. But, the fact that he's giving away entire verses to Aimee that I'd rather hear him sing, and to my ear it sounds like he wrote the melodies for and perhaps even the lyrics...seems a bit distracting from the finished product. That said, the duet obviously serves the greater purpose of the song, which appears as a conversation between...lovers? People? A girl and a boy. It also could probably have stood to have a bit more fleshed out arrengement but again, it's the dudes album, and he gets to do what he wants cuz he's a badass that writes great songs and sticks up for important causes.
