Easy Street Records QA Store To Close Jan 18th

Jan 02nd | categories: Music News

With each new year we obviously try to start off on the right foot, focusing on the good and embracing the changes that come with the start of a new cycle. However, today this is one that we just can't shake off. Easy Street Records on Queen Anne will be turning over their space to Chase Bank on the 18th of this month (at least its another place you totally wanna hang out on your Saturday afternoons...) after a new lease agreement could not be met. The West Seattle store will still exist, but this is a heavy blow to the Seattle music scene. Following the closing of Sonic Boom on Capitol hill, there's now no place to host In-Stores, and the essential sole source for obtaining albums rests on Everyday Music (though Wall Of Sound is a fantastic choice for some of your more eclectic needs). You can read owner, Matt Vaughns full explanation of the situation here. and as Eli over at Barboza/Neumos said, "REST IN POWER" Easy Street
