EVENT: The Vera Project - A Drink For The Kids

If your parents ever told you nothing good would come of your drinking habit, boy were they wrong (as they usually were, I mean, come on. Don't we know everything?) In a nutshell, if you're unfamiliar, the Vera Project is a non-profit always all ages venue in downtown Seattle that gives kids, not only the opportunity to check out great shows (we've all been that 16 year old sitting outside the back door of Neumos while our favorite band of the week plays to a half empty crowd) but also to get their feet wet in many facets of the music industry w/ the offering of technical classes, as well as I hear they have a fine art gallery. Pretty much, it's a great place with a great mission that can always use a few extra bucks, and thankfully some of our favorite neighborhood bars and industry figures are coming together once again to help out in the only way they know how, getting you drunk! You can check out the official details below, and I highly highly recommend hitting at least one of these. Even if it's just to prove to your parents that your drinking habits can be positive.

DETAILS:

Vera is excited to announce A Drink for the Kids 2012 Presented by Rhapsody! From June 24th-June 30th you can support all-ages art and music in Seattle just by grabbing a drink at some of the best bars in Seattle. Proceeds from Ninkasi beer & Fremont Mischief liquor go directly to The Vera Project. Go out and get your drink on while supporting all-ages art and music!

We'll be letting each neighborhood know how they're doing throughout the week. Capitol Hill, Central District, Queen Anne, Ballard and Fremont will all be duking it out to have the most successful A Drink for the Kids Night.
