Starting TODAY - bands can enter the 2013 edition of the EMP's Sound Off Competition.

SO much more than a simple "battle of the bands" - for 12 years this event has played a huge role in building and supporting the next generation of the NW music community.

If you're a musician under the age of 21 and you're writing/performing original songs - this is something you want to be a part of. It's not as much a competition as it is a great way to introduce yourself to fellow musicians and music people as a whole

Now in its 12th year Sound Off! has paved the way for some amazing bands and artists including The Lonely Forest, Dyme Def, Sol, The Lonely H, Kithkin, Schoolyard Heroes, Tomten, and Brite Futures. From Seattle and Portland to Vancouver BC, groups or solo musicians playing all genres of music are encouraged to submit original material for consideration in Sound Off!

Three semifinal rounds of Sound Off! concerts will take place on February 9, 16, and 23, culminating in an electrifying finals show in EMP's Sky Church on March 2, 2013.

Sound Off! participants make off with a slew of awesome prizes such as recording time, gear, radio airplay, high profile performances, and media attention.
