Damon Albarn creating Audio Time Capsule for BBC

Nov 13th | categories: Music News

Damon Albarn is like, THE go-to guy when it comes to music in england. Which is pretty impressive as Paul McCartney is still alive. This time around, the BBC celebrates it's 90th birthday with what they're calling an audio collage broadcast across all of their stations at the same time, soundtracked by Albarn as a message to those 90 years in the future. Damon had this to say on the project:

"The idea was people would be asked the question, What message would you give to somebody listening in 90 years’ time? There was this sort of anxiety and then there were a few younger minds musing on this and they in a way were the most interesting because they were very free and in a sense the only people who will have any connection with 90 years."

The broadcast will occur on November 14th @ 5:33pm marking exactly 90 years since the first broadcast, and is estimated to reach 120 Million people world wide.

UPDATE: here it is.
