Daft Punk New Album Collaborators Revealed?
The massive hype surrounding the forthcoming Daft Punk Record, Random Access Memories (Due out May 21st on the bands own Daft Life Ltd. imprint via Columbia) can be attributed to a number of things, be it the span of time since the robots last proper release, the rise of electronic music in mainstream popularity, as well as the mystery surrounding the albums production and of course, the heavily rumored guest features. It looks like our wait for the latter is over with french lifestyle site Konbini
publishing an impressive track by tack breakdown of guest features on the record including the previously unmentioned Julian Casablancas of The Strokes.
The already semi-confirmed list of collaborators, Nile rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Chilly Gonzales and Paul Williams are all there, alongside the rumored Pharrell Williams, Animal Collective's Panda Bear, and Paul Jackson Jr. French touch purists will also be excited at the appearance of house legends Todd Edwards and DJ Falcon, with whom Thomas Bangalter previously worked with under the moniker Together. While it remains to be confirmed by Columbia staff or the band themselves, this list certainly seems perfectly possibly legit, and Konbini's ties to the french music scene make it all the more believable.
