You know that annoying saying, Crushing Blows? This is one of those times you get to use it. In a recent interview, Bestival organizer, Rob Da Bank revealed the festival went after the parisian duo but were met with the response that Daft had "no plans to tour in 2013". Yikes. This shouldnt come as an overwhelming shock however as 2007's "Alive" tour happened a solid 2 years after 2005's Human After All. Nile Rodgers revealed back in August that the album was already in the mixing stages so it's not outlandish to imagine that we may still get the record sans live appearances this year. Cross our fingers, we'll take what we can get I guess. It's also worth mentioning that the duo have only toured twice in their existence, 1996/7, 2006/7, so don't be too stunned if its another 3 or 4 years before we see those helemts onstage again. Check out footage from the previous tour below.
UPDATE: Rob just tweeted what is essentially a retraction so who really knows what the hell is going on.
