Creepy Audio: Cobain's 'Teen Spirit' Vocals Isolated

Oct 08th | categories: Music, Nerd Stuff

It's a song we've each heard a thousand times. Think how many times "Smells Like Teen Spirit" provided a soundtrack to some wild adventure or just another day doing your job when you get a little boost from Kurt's angst. Someone either got their hands on an isolated track or somehow used computer wizardry to remove the music, but here are Cobain's naked vocal tracks for Teen Spirit.

It's cool to hear him signing BUT with all that reverb and compression, it's no surprise he would turn to Steve Albini and a raw, under-processed sound for In Utero.

This is awesome! Now I'm kinda curious how the other songs sound as just the vocal track...
