After much speculation earlier in the year (is it too soon to say that?) THE POSTAL SERVICE ARE OFFICIALLY REUNITING. This, ladies and gentlemen, I don't need to tell you is a big deal. The reunion coincides with the 10 year anniversary of Give Up which Sub Pop will Re-release in a deluxe edition next month. The band is allegedly playing this years Coachella festival with select dates to follow according to Billboard.
UPDATE: The band posted details of the Give Up re-release earlier today on their website which will include a 3 LP version and deluxe 2 CD featuring b-sides, rarities and 2 NEW TRACKS entitled "A Tattered Line Of String" and "Turn Around". The set will drop on 4/9 in North America
While it's unknown if the band will record new songs (Ben Gibbards twitter for the last 6 months said no, now it doesnt say anything), a deluxe edition certainly means new content and Ben has always hinted that there were things in various forms of completion so maybe we'll just be lucky enough to see some of that surface. We'll keep you posted for the future.... Till then. Be stoked!
