Beer For Breakfast: Fremont Brewing Co
Tony Velasquez of Fremont Brewing Co popped in this morning to give us a sample of some tasty beers for your weekend adventures. I'm a big IPA fan so the Operation Homefront IPA really spoke to me!
Fremont Brewing Co - Operation Homefront IPA (WA)
This is a beer designed to raise money for soldiers and military families in need. 11 different breweries around the country all make their own brew, in cans, and sell it under the same name. It's a limited run usually around Memorial Day. It's got a great, crisp, citrus taste that makes it easy to suck 2, 3, 10 down! ;)
Fremont Brewing Co - Dark Star Oatmeal Stout (WA)
Though I guessed this would be a dessert beer thanks to its heaviness and often sweeter oatmeal stout flavors, there's something so much richer about this bottled beer. It's billed as a having a hazelnut and smoked black pepper flavor and this delivers. Though dark as my black sock, it's still light enough to go down super easily. We were both stoked on how surprising this beer turned out.
If you're drinking this weekend, please get home safely!
