This dude set out on a walk from Beijing hoping to end up in Germany over the course of a year long walk. He did the thing where you don't cut your hair or beard to see how it developed. Beardy guy did not estimate the difficulty of walking across China's giant Gobi desert... Check out his video diary he made capturing his travels.



Note: on his Vimeo page he talks about why you see him on planes from time to time. It's largely the result of necessary trips to Beijing to sort out his Visa (which sounds like a real pain in the ass!).
